| THE LIVESTOCK GUARDIAN |
Luka is our male LGD livestock guardian dog. He is a love towards us but knows his job. His purchase situation though was a BAD
experience... so if purchasing an LGD from a breeder in Michigan, particularly a breeder with the initials R.P. PLEASE contact me
first as a reference to save yourself! The $300 "healthy registered dog" we were sold was delivered with only one decended
testicle and with registration "application" that didn't allow for breeding priveledges. That said a dog with one testicle should
NOT be used for breeding but we were NOT told he had an undescended testicle. No doubt as it is expensive to have such dogs
fixed which is why the breeder likely did not do it. It was an additional $300 to have him fixed. A reputable breeder would have
fixed him and then sold him. There was more that was underhanded but that gives you the jist of it. Lesson learned and noted.
Luka is trained to stay within our electric fence and has 8 acres currently to romp and play in. After all...who says you can't have
fun too while on the job! :)
